The First Project Of Mersin Film Office (MFO), ‘Like A Cut Tree’, Has Completed Its Shooting
THE FIRST PROJECT OF MERSIN FILM OFFICE (MFO), ‘LIKE A CUT TREE’, HAS COMPLETED ITS SHOOTING
The filming of ‘Like a Cut Tree’, the first film organized by the Mersin Film Office established under the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Department of Cultural and Social Affairs, has been completed.Produced by Cevahir Şahin, directed by Tunç Davut, and supported by the Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Cinema, TRT Co-Production, and Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, with the contributions of the Film Office, the feature film ‘Like a Cut Tree’ was shot in Tarsus. The Film Office provided logistical support for the film, which was shot in 42 different scenes on the natural plateau of Tarsus, which is suitable for cinema and series shooting. The team of the Film Office, which met the important needs of the shooting crew and actors such as accommodation, catering, and car park support, received full marks from the entire film crew with its selfless work.
They supported the crew from the initial research to the final stage
Mersin Film Office played a facilitating role from the initial research phase of the film to the production phase. It provided the necessary logistical and human resource support for determining the film's locations and the set-up of the locations. The team provided all the support required in areas such as law enforcement support and solving bureaucratic problems so that filming could be carried out easily in the locations where permission was obtained. It increased the manpower support of the shooting team with field personnel during the production process.
"Cultural and Social Affairs Department Coordinator Bengi İspir Özdülger stayed with the crew on the last day of filming. Özdülger had a chat with the crew and all the set crew, especially the actors, thanked Özdülger for the existence of the Film Office and its contribution to the sector. They also stated that such an office should be established in all cities in Türkiye."
