Mersin Film Office (MFO) is a service provided by Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, designed to assist all productions planning to shoot a movie in Mersin. The office aims to identify locations, resources, and creative solutions for projects to be realized in Mersin.

The Mersin Film Office is a point of contact for producers seeking production support, including permits, city services, and logistical assistance. It aims to streamline and simplify the permit process by providing filming crews with comprehensive information about the region and facilitating the permitting process to support production. The Mersin Film Office will collaborate closely with official bodies to help filmmakers obtain permissions.

Mersin Film Office will serve as a facilitator for producers to find potential sponsors in Mersin: It will bring production companies and potential sponsors together.

Mersin Film Office's mission is to attract film production projects and television series productions to Mersin.  In this context, it will lead the production and development efforts of feature films, television series, commercials, and documentaries.

The vision of the Mersin Film Office is to make Mersin one of the UNESCO "Film Cities" in the context of creative cities/creative industries in the long term. The objectives for this include Film Funding, Film Festival, and Film Plateau.
