Mersin Film Office (MFO) Began Hosting International Film Festivals
Hosting the 'Francophone Film Festival' between March 21 and April 30, the Cinema Office introduces the cinematic cultures of different countries to the people of Mersin. The festival was organized by the Mersin Film Office in partnership with the French Cultural Centre and the embassies of Switzerland, Belgium, Canada, Luxembourg, and Poland. As part of the festival, the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Antalya collaborated with the organizers to bring Kazakh cinema to its fans. 'Ashkal, L'enquete de Tunis', 'Auxiliare', 'The Olympic Flame', 'Invisible', 'Soleil de Nuit', and 'Chien de La Casse Junkyard Dog' productions took place at the Congress and Exhibition Palace Multi-Purpose Hall during the 'Francophone Film Festival' held on April 16–17. The female personnel of the Metropolitan Municipality also watched the film 'Ashkal, L'enquete de Tunis' by Tunisian director Youssef Chebbi. At the same time, in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Antalya, the team brought the film 'Diamond Sword', one of the important works of Kazakh Cinema, to cinema lovers and continues to blow a cinema wind in Mersin.
