Location scouting in the pre-production process of the film project titled 'The Moth' completed

The location scouting for the feature film project ‘The Moth’, which will be produced and directed by Aslı Akdağ and co-produced by Banu Sıvacı and Neşe Seçer Kayardı, was held in Mersin between 26 February and 1 March 2025 with the support of the Mersin Film Office.

The production team, together with the project's cinematographer, Meryem Yavuz, decided to shoot the film in Mersin towards the end of 2025 after an intensive scouting process in many locations, such as Mersin Centre, Erdemli, Tarsus, and Silifke.

The film project titled ‘The Moth’ is open to co-production and has received praise from the industry on platforms like the Antalya Film Forum and Meetings on the Bridge. 

The subject of the psychological thriller film project, which is designed to be shot by a predominantly female team, is also a woman's story. Suzan, who wants to leave the hospital where they work together after their marriage ends with her husband's infidelity and completely changes her life by returning to her grandmother's house, needs to face her past to continue on her way.
