Atatürk House and Museum
Atatürk House and Museum: Atatürk and his wife Latife Hanım were guests in this house for eleven days during their visit to Mersin between 20 January and 2 February 1925. Located at the city's focal point on Atatürk Street, the building was expropriated in 1980 and became the property of the Ministry of Culture in 1982. On 12 October 1992, it was officially opened as Atatürk House and Museum. It is a two-story building built with neat-cut stone from the outside. It is one of the best examples of civil architecture.
